Feeding & Mealtime Behaviour Therapy

What we can help with

We support your child through feeding challenges, including “picky” eating, limited food variety, sensory-based feeding difficulties, and transitioning from purées to solids.

We also support children who experience mealtime anxiety or food refusal. Our approach is supportive and child-led, focusing on building positive food experiences and increasing confidence around eating over time.

Our approach

We work on oral motor skills and family-friendly strategies to help your child expand their diet in a steady and practical way. Therapy is tailored to your child’s needs and your household routines, helping to create calmer, more enjoyable mealtimes.

How we can help

Our feeding therapy focus is on behavioural, sensory, and developmental feeding difficulties, and we work within our scope of practice to ensure your child receives the most appropriate care and support.

Please note we do not provide assessment or treatment for dysphagia (swallowing disorders). However, we are happy to support families by providing appropriate onward referral to appropriate services where needed.

3. We provide personalised therapy

Speech therapy sessions are designed around your individual goals, strengths and preferences. We use evidence-based approaches and practical activities to support speech sound development, articulation and clearer communication in everyday situations.

Therapy may take place at home, school, in the community, via Telehealth, or in clinic.

3. We provide personalised therapy

Assessment does not stop after your first appointment. We regularly review your progress and adjust therapy as your needs, goals and circumstances change.

This helps us provide responsive, functional care and recognise when goals have been achieved, therapy should change direction, or ongoing speech therapy is no longer needed.
